ORATION AND INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The President and Board of Directors rejoined by invited dignitaries, Fellows, members and delegates for an official Oration and Investiture Ceremony. The President on behalf of the Board of Directors and the College will invest new Fellows and members into Australia’s peak professional mental health nursing organisation.
Professor Kim Usher
We are honoured to welcome Kim Usher as the Orator for the 28th Oration and Investiture Ceremony for the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
Professor Kim Usher AM is currently the Professor of Nursing at the University of New England. An academic, researcher and member of the College for over 30 years, Kim has been awarded over $7 million in funding and currently leads two category one grants-Medical Research Future Fund and NSW Health. Kim’s research areas of interest focus primarily on issues related to mental health including the psychosocial impact of emergencies and disasters, psychopharmacology, substance use, Indigenous health and workforce issues. Kim is the current Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing a position she has held for over 6 years.
